The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
The Academy, founded in 1933, is the world's preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and others in the world. It offers the continuing medical education activities, including a world-renowned Annual Meeting, multiple CME courses held around the country and at the Orthopaedic Learning Center, as well as various medical, scientific publications and electronic media materials.

The Association, which is founded by the Academy Board of Directors in 1997, is committed to the health policy and advocacy activities on behalf of musculoskeletal patients and the profession of orthopaedic surgery.
